“Well you ate meat once!!!!!!”

vegan-because-fuck-you:

Yes I certainly did, difference being when someone showed me what I was contributing to, told me that doing so was immoral and explained why the way I viewed non human animals was bigoted, I didn’t cry like a baby, throw a shit fit and bend over backwards trying to justify my actions. I just apologized for my ignorance and changed my lifestyle accordingly. You know, like an adult.

An animal rescue centre is struggling to rehome this cat, because it looks like evil Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter films. Workers at The Blue Cross in Southampton say visitors have been scared off. The abandoned cat, named Charlie, had to have its ears and nose removed after suffering from skin cancer. Vets say Charlie’s pale skin left him at risk of developing the potentially fatal disease. They are now desperately trying to rehome him and say a family of Harry Potter fans could offer their best hope.

He is described as an affectionate lap cat. For more information on Charlie, please click here!

Please help John feed his Bunny and his Jack Russel

This fundraiser is to help an amazing man named John Byrne who dived in a river to save his bunny after being thrown over a bridge by a heartless teenager.

John, who is homeless and lives on the streets of Dublin City for the passed 23 years, was begging for money on the 23rd of July 2011 while sitting on O’Connell bridge. He had his two pets with him at the time- Barney his pet bunny and his pet jack russell.

An 18 year old “human man” who can only be described as pure evil grabbed Barney from John’s lap and threw Barney over the edge from a massive height off O’Connell bridge in to the freezing cold River Liffey.

John could see Barney swimming around in circles and said to himself “no hope I was going to leave him there!”. Without any hesitation at all he threw himself over the bridge and picked up Barney from the water and waited to be rescued on a the edge of concrete column underneath the bridge.

John said that Barney died in his arms that day buy gave him “the kiss of life”. Barney came around just in time as Dublin City Fire Brigade came along in a rescue boat.

Unfortunately weeks after this happened animal shelters promised John to help feed Barney, while posing for pictures with him, and NOTHING came from that!!!

So being a bunny owner myself I know how intelligent  beautiful and loving bunnies are to keep as pets, would love to help John feed Barney and take him for a vet check up.

I spoke to John myself two weeks ago and unfortunately he told me that a disgusting evil person ran up and gave Barney a kick into the side of his head. Barney was knocked out but seems to be fine today.

PLEASE HELP ME TO GATHER FOOD AND PET SUPPLIES NOT JUST FOR BARNEY BUT HIS FOUR DOGS AS WELL.

No, Alex is not a Bull Terrier; he is a Cane Corso.

He went missing from his home in Tomball, TX on March 2nd and after searching for him for 3 days, Alex’s Mom Mali Chi found out that someone had SHOT HIM because of how he looks. They are now refusing to give his body to her.

Please go show your support of Alex - a gentle giant - on his tribute page “I AM ALEX” - click the photo to be taken to the page.

Hello! This is my foster dog Brewster. He is a very loving, obedient, playful pitt mix. He is about 2-3 years old, and still has that spark of playful puppy in him. He’s big in size but knows he is not the dominant one. He listens to commands, only chews his toys, he is great on the leash, doesn’t beg for food at the table, and wants nothing more than to be at your side at every moment. He’s also protective of his owners. Within the first day or so he developed this sense of loyalty. He is laying his head on my lap on top of my arms as  I type this. He is such a good dog, and I’m not just saying that. He is more well behaved than the family dogs I’ve had for years (they live with my dad).

Now that I’ve moved into my own place, I really wanted a dog. I know that I cannot afford proper care for one, nor can I keep one long term with my dreams of traveling. That is so unfair when people selfishly get a dog and then bounce because they didn’t think it through. I wanted to help a shelter dog, and the best way to have all of these things is to foster. So two weeks ago, my girlfriend and I went down to the Brookhaven Animal Shelter. They desperately needed fosters due to much needed reconstruction of old kennels.

I’m suprised this handsome guy had been in that shelter for over a year. I dont know his whole story. He has some big scars on his legs, and some mental scars as well.  He shudders at the sound of an opening beer can and runs away, and is fearful of you when you pick up a shoe to put it on. I’m sure you can put those two together…

My girlfriend and I have been working with Brewster every day on proper training and good habits. We taught him sit, lay down, and come. He knows not to jump on the bed, jump on you, or bite when he plays. He is, however, allowed on the couch. And that is where he loves to lay all over you like he is a ten pound lap dog. We use positive reinforcement and smother him with love.

It saddens me to think that this loyal, loving dog, who wants nothing more than companionship, had to sit alone day after day in a cage, with an occasional walk or petting if he was lucky.  And this shelter does a good job, it was his best option. It’s just that there are so many dogs just like Brewster whose best option was to be in the shelter than on the street or abused in a home.

I love this dog so much that I am determined to find him another loving home.  We would keep him if we could, but proper care is too expensive and we can barely feed ourselves.

Please reblog this, show your friend, something to help Brewster find a home!

Come on, guys!! Sweet baaabbyyyyy.
