I'm Sydney, 18 year old vegan living in the Midwestern part of the USA. This is my blog. Enjoy!
0 marine animals
0 cows and calves
0 pigeons and other birds
0 donkeys and mules
0 camels and other camelids
You know what’s really weird is that generally if a cow or pig or whatever escapes from a slaughter truck or factory farm and it makes the news, nonvegans really pull for that animal. They want the animal to get to a sanctuary and be spared slaughter or whatever.
But when you appeal to them about the animalS, as a collective, who don’t deserve to die by the millions, they shrug it off and act like you’re being irrational.
People are strange.
Don’t ever trust anyone who thinks their desire to see an animal in person outweighs that animals right to live in their natural environment.
Does anyone have a reason as to why they feel non human animal life is less important than human life that doesn’t boil down to you banging your hands on the table and screaming “BECAUSE I SAY SO”?
Don’t worry, I’ll wait.

A great job done by vegankween here, making use of text and video with ample sources and external references.
For those of you who don’t know, Sam Simon, who along with Matt Groening and James L. Brooks, is one of the developers of The Simpsons, is terminally ill with Colon Cancer.
He has a few months to live because the cancer has metastasized to his kidneys and liver. He’s currently using his vast fortune to help homeless people, rescue animals from circuses, zoos, and to prevent the death of animals already in shelters.
I had to take this moment to recognize not only his body of work (even though he left The Simpsons in 1993), but also his actions as a philanthropist.
I wish him all the best.
